You're on the floor of Glen Torridon below the red sandstone walls of Liathach, with the pale quartzite of Beinn Eighe beyond. The wild haggis has longer legs on one side, so it can only run one way round a hill. Haggis spot movement. They notice anyone who keeps moving, and bolt if you get within 80 yards while they are watching. Move in short steps of a second or two, then stop. Follow the ghillie, wait for the sights to turn green, and bag what you can before the sun goes down. The hunt lasts four minutes, from morning light to sunset.
A single golden haggis roams the glen. It hears twice as well and is worth ten of the others.
The haggis are still out there.
